我們的故事

1991 年 9 月，西島中學始於九龍塘一座紅磚建築，前址為舊英軍醫院，在這臨時租用處開始運營，當時僅有 6 名全職教師、6 名兼職教師和 84 名Year 7學生，逐漸發展至今。

西島中學是第一所為所有學生提供普通話課程的英基學校，也是第一所採用中國朝代而不是學院來劃分班級社群的學校。我們希望學生能在香港的學校生活中以及其他多元文化體驗中獲得獨特的收成。

隨著學校人員的增長，新校舍也隨之擴建，全由建築師Patrick Lau設計。他在這個難以想像的建築地點施予奇跡，建造這俯瞰大海的校舍，其與周圍環境完美融合，在設計中體現教育理念，驚人傑作獲得了多項讚譽。
