From mastering Mandarin phrases to the powerful rhythm of the Lion Dance, our students fully immersed themselves in the rich traditions of Chinese language and culture before the half-term holiday. 🏮✨
At West Island School, we believe that learning a language is about understanding the heart of a culture. Seeing our students embrace the discipline of the dance and the beauty of the brush has been the perfect way to kick off this festive season.

Our WIS Bazaar is still open for commercial vendors to team up with our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for a wonderful day celebrating the school community.

Over the years, our caring and dedicated Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has generously funded a diverse range of items to enrich our learning and school life.
From music to sports and campus style, here’s a look at what the PTA has provided for our students:
• Music 🎶: Drum kits, cymbals, bass guitars, amplifiers, and acoustic guitars • Table Tennis 🏓 : New table for break-time fun Sports Hall 🕰️: New large clock and timer to keep us on track • Campus Life 🪑 🌬️: Cafeteria furniture, a vibrant school mural, and swamp fans to keep us cool! • Tech 💡🖥️ : Auditorium insights, light diffusion kits, and digital signage displays
A huge thank you to our PTA for creating these wonderful opportunities. They’ve also promised us an unforgettable WIS Bazaar on 14 March, from 11am to 4pm! See you and your families there!

It was a joyful day for everyone—celebrating mental health and wellbeing while strengthening connections and friendships along the way.
