Leadership Team
Like all of the schools within the ESF family, West Island School is led by some of the most talented and experienced educationalists to be found in any school in any part of the world. Led by our Principal, the team of Vice Principals, Faculty Heads and other key staff make sure that we are taking every opportunity to help our students be the best that they can be.

The ESF West Island School Council plays an incredibly important role in the governance of the school. Made up of representatives from the community, from our staff and our students and their parents, the Council makes sure that we prioritise the right things, spend our money wisely and recruit the right people.

Child Protection Officers
All ESF staff are trained in both preventative and protective measures, with each school having at least two dedicated Child Protection Officers on site to lead this vital aspect of student welfare. At West Island School, we have seven Child Protection Officers and are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children. We expect our staff, volunteers and visitors to actively contribute to protecting young people from harm.
WISusain Environmental Council
Established in 2023, WISustain is a group of passionate West Island School students who come together as a student body to advocate for global issues surrounding environmental sustainability and plan impactful events for the WIS community, now a chapter of the ESF Sustainability Alliance.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Committee
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at ESF West Island School is dedicated to fostering a welcoming, supportive and inclusive school community. The PTA Committee includes the Principal, teachers, and volunteer parents who work together to foster collaboration and engagement between families, educators and the wider school community.
