ESF upholds every child’s right to learn and live in conditions that protect them from harm, promoting the optimum development of their intellectual, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Child protection is everyone’s responsibility; the ESF community is responsible for being preventative and proactive in all child protection matters.
At West Island School, we prioritise a culture of safeguarding and wellbeing. All staff receive regular, comprehensive safeguarding training, and our team of seven dedicated Child Protection Officers is on hand to support students, teachers, and parents. We actively engage parents through regular communication, workshops, and community partnerships. This collaborative approach ensures that, together, we create a supportive and caring environment where every child can grow, learn, and flourish.
