Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The West Island School Parent Teachers Association (PTA) warmly welcomes all new and existing families to the vibrant WIS community and aims to make new families as comfortable as possible. New parents will be invited to events and connect with other parents.

As volunteer parents on the Committee, our PTA team members are motivated to create opportunities for all WIS parents to feel more connected and engaged within the diverse community of our school.

Get Involved: Volunteer Opportunities and Entry Steps

Volunteer Opportunities: Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a long-term commitment, we welcome all levels of involvement and are excited to have you join PTA activities.

Our PTA is powered by the support and dedication of our volunteers. The active roles of our parent volunteers made achieving our goals possible. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our children and to connect with other parents who share your passion for education. If you would like to contribute to the school by joining the PTA Committee or by volunteering for specific events or initiatives, we would love to hear from you!

PTA Newsletter: The WIS PTA Newsletter team publishes newsletters periodically to let the community know about the events supported by PTA. We look for volunteers to help with writing and proofreading for the newsletter we plan for the school year. We appreciate your creative ideas and any time you can contribute! We would welcome your support to keep it going.

PTA Shop

Our PTA shop sells preloved uniforms and books (IGCSE and IB course books). If you would like to see the uniform sizes, we have sample sizes of the new uniform in the PTA/WIS shop.

Donate Uniforms and Books: Good-conditioned, pre-loved WIS uniforms and set works or IB books are most welcome; you can drop them off at the school entrance during school hours.

The PTA no longer handles the sales of stationery and new school uniform items. Please note that new uniform sales are now online. To order new uniform items, you can go to https://www.schooluniform.hk/ and choose West Island School. You can order and pay online, and the uniform will be delivered to your door.

The PTA Shop is closed during school holidays.
